Following the example of related European institutions, since 1993 CVH has positioned itself as the leading company in the field of technical inspections, testing and homologation of vehicles with the aim of raising the level of traffic safety on Croatian roads.

Accreditation

CVH has been accredited by the Croatian Accreditation Agency for several areas:

  1. Subdivision for Technical Inspection and Registration of Vehicles of the Center for Vehicles of Croatia JSC, the STP Institute site, as the Type C inspection body according to the requirements of HRN EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard, for the implementation of technical inspections of vehicles and periodic technical inspections of brakes of road vehicles.
  2. Subdivision for Special Testing of the Center for Vehicles of Croatia JSC, as the Type A inspection body according to the requirements of HRN EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard, for the inspection of ADR vehicles and tanks for the transport of hazardous goods in road traffic.
  3. The Metrology Laboratory of the Center for Vehicles of Croatia JSC, as the Type C inspection body according to the requirements of HRN EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard, for the inspection of authorised gauges.
  4. The Metrology Laboratory of the Center for Vehicles of Croatia JSC, according to the requirements of HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, for the calibration of gauges.
  5. Homologation Testing Laboratory of the Center for Vehicles of Croatia JSC, according to the requirements of HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, for homologation tests.

International authorisations

The homologation testing laboratory certified as the E 25/C technical service at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) demonstrates the importance of CVH on a global level. The laboratory is used for carrying out homologation tests according to certain ECE regulations and according to the Agreement concerning the Adoption of Harmonised Technical Regulations for Wheeled Vehicles.

CVH also has special authority to issue, on behalf of the competent authority, certificates of compliance with the UNECE’s Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs and on the Special Equipment to be Used for such Carriage (the ATP Agreement).

The Testing Division is also a specially licensed test site for verifying compliance according to the requirements of the UNECE’s ATP Agreement.
